  • Position Summary:

    The Real Estate Law Clerk – Condominium at Brattys LLP will manage condominium documentation, project registrations, stakeholder coordination, title searches, and closings. Ideal candidates have a Law Clerk Diploma, real estate law experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and legal software proficiency. The role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative team environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Involved in all aspects of condominium projects, related sales and disclosure documentation
    • Prepares all condominium unit closing documents
    • Involved in the registration of condominiums and related by-laws
    • Directly communicates with clients and other lawyers’ offices
    • Drafts and amends correspondence
    • Prepares reporting letters and accounts to clients
    • Performs sub-searches of title and off-title searches
    • Prepares various documents in Teraview including Transfers, Charges, Easements, Notices, Condominium By-Laws, Discharges, etc.
    • Organizes and maintains physical and electronic files

    The Successful Candidate will Demonstrate the Following:

    • A diploma in a related Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program or combination of education and industry experience
    • 2-5 years of experience as a Condominium Real Estate Law Clerk working on behalf of the vendor in transactions
    • Ability to complete transactions from start to finish with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Unity, PC Law, and Teraview
    • Excellent organization and time-management skills
    • Must be driven and determined to achieve and exceed Firm goals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines

  • Position Summary: 

    The Real Estate Law Clerk will play a crucial role in managing bulk lot sales, subdivision transactions, and land acquisitions. This position involves preparing and handling various legal documents, addressing title issues, and maintaining effective communication with clients, municipalities, and other legal offices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Commercial Real Estate Law practice, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages bulk lot sales (land developer to builder) including agreements, surveys, and all associated conveyancing documents
    • Handles subdivision sale transactions and attends to end plan registrations
    • Handles land acquisition, financing, and commercial & residential sales from start to finish
    • Prepares various documents including purchase & sale agreements, transfers, charges, easements, notices, discharges, postponements, final reporting, etc.
    • Identifies title and off-title issues and addresses them accordingly
    • Directly communicates with clients, municipalities, and other lawyers’ offices
    • Organizes and maintains physical and electronic files

    Qualifications:

    • A post-secondary diploma in a related Legal Administration and/or Law Clerk program, or equivalent years of experience
    • 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position in a Commercial Real Estate Law practice
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Unity, Soluno (preferred), and Teraview
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent organization and time-management skills
    • Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently on multiple files with a strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrates a professional demeanor, high ethical standards, and commitment to service excellence

    • Identify and resolve title and off-title issues.
    • Prepare and register various documents in Teraview, such as Transfers, Charges, Easements, Notices, and Discharges.
    • Draft reporting letters and accounts for clients.
    • Communicate directly with clients and other law offices.
    • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files.
